New report highlights economic risk of falling STEM qualifications

Article in the Age today on release of a report by PwC – The STEM Imperative: Future Proofing Australia’s Workforce, report is available here. 

The report reiterates concerns of many that Australia’s future capabilities are threatened by stagnating enrollments in university STEM degrees and falling participation in mathematics and science at senior secondary school. Modelling predicts significant growth is required in number of graduates in STEM, and many other, disciplines.
