The successful appointees will be expected to engage in postgraduate teaching and curriculum development in the School’s new Master of Data Science Program which is being offered in 2017, in conjunction with the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. The positions will also teach statistics and mathematics courses more broadly, including service courses. The appointees are required to undertake an active role in the research efforts of the School. This includes frequent publication in high-quality journals, international and interdisciplinary collaboration, and attracting competitive research funding. The positions will supervise postgraduate and honours students, conduct high-quality research and perform administrative, outreach and other activities associated with the School, with a particular emphasis on the Master of Data Science program.
