An opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to work within the School of Social and Community Medicine at the University of Bristol.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join a research team based in the School of Social and Community Medicine. The post is available from 1 February 2017 until 30 January 2018 funded through a grant from the US National Institute of Health, and is meant to provide a good opportunity for obtaining research training or experience. The post will develop new infectious disease models on the transmission of HIV amongst female sex workers and other risk groups in Tijuana, Mexico.
You will join a collaborative team of mathematical modellers, epidemiologists, social scientists and health economists interested in the transmission dynamics of blood borne viruses, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other infections. As part of these projects you will be primarily involved in the technical aspect of the modelling, and will collaborate with other modellers, economists and epidemiologists involved in this and other projects.
Applications close 8 January 2017.
