Come to Kruger National Park in South Africa for an excellent MSTE conference!
The ISTE International Conference on Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (MSTE) provides a forum for practitioners from South Africa and other countries to interact and exchange ideas on issues relating to teaching and learning of mathematics, science and technology at all educational levels in South Africa and beyond.
Since the inception of the conference in 2010, it has been hosted by the Institute for Science and Technology Education (ISTE) at the University of South Africa, the largest university on the African continent. The conference provides an ambient environment for intellectual and academic interaction with colleagues from South Africa and overseas, and also the much-needed platform to showcase local research to an international audience.
The alluring atmosphere of the Kruger National Park and the magic of the African wildlife makes the experience an unforgettable one. The conference has hosted participants from all the continents of the world and has continued to reach out to a more diverse audience. Of the 200 abstracts received, about 100 are accepted for presentation, and about 50 papers are accepted after rigorous peer review for publication in the conference proceedings.
The conference continues to retain the theme “Towards Effective Teaching and Meaningful Learning in Mathematics, Science and Technology”, as this constitutes the core of the research focus at ISTE.
