The use of customized feedback using NUMBAS in MATH1081

We have a Teaching and Learning seminar next week on Friday 24th November at 4pm in Red Centre room RC-MO32. This is the much anticipated, and previously postponed, seminar on NUMBAS, presented by Daniel Mansfield.

Everyone is welcome to the seminar and to join us for discussion afterwards over wine and cheese in the staff common room.

Title:The use of customized feedback using NUMBAS in MATH1081.

Speaker: Dr Daniel Mansfield, UNSW Sydney.

Time and Place: 4pm. Red Centre, RC-MO32.

Abstract: In 2017 the UNSW School of Mathematics and Statistics began using on-line tools to provide helpful and constructive feedback to students in MATH1081 Discrete Mathematics. NUMBAS is a free, open source and highly versatile package that can be used for formative or summative assessment.

This talk will introduce NUMBAS, its features, and how it has impacted upon student learning in 2017s2.
