The Research Division of Mathematical and Statistical Science covers Pure and Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science. Its research strengths are in geometry, number theory, optimisation theory, stochastic analysis and biostatistics with key expertise in actuarial science, time series, survival analysis, complex geometry, analytic number theory and optimisation.
Applicants should be an outstanding researcher, with an exceptional record of research outputs, funding and student supervision. They should have demonstrated strong research leadership and commitment to helping others to develop their research.
