Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer in Mathematics Education. This is an exciting opportunity to shape sector leading provision for Moray House School of Education in the area of mathematics teaching.
You should demonstrate established contributions to teaching and research, underpinned by experience of teaching mathematics in education settings. You will, preferably, have academic experience in the HE sector at post-doctoral level including established contributions to research and research-informed teaching in STEM (Mathematics) Education. You will have established credibility in the field of teacher education and making a demonstrable impact on at national or international level.
You will take responsibility for developing, teaching and administering courses on mathematics education across the undergraduate and postgraduate level, and will contribute to the wider work of the subject area and the School. You will represent Teacher Education in its broadest sense in appropriate networks nationally and develop our partnership with schools and Local Authorities. Your research activity will involve securing research grants and publishing high quality research outputs for academic and professional audiences to a level that is commensurate with the international reputation of the University of Edinburgh for research excellence and knowledge exchange.
